Parvovirus is a highly contagious and potentially life-threatening viral disease found in canines. Puppies and unvaccinated dogs are most at risk but it can sometimes pass over to vaccinated dogs.

It attacks the gastrointestinal tract and immune system, causing severe vomiting, diarrhoea, dehydration and lethargy. Prompt veterinary treatment is essential, as early intervention greatly improves the chances of recovery.

This at home kit is quick and easy to use, using a fresh stool or vomit sample or a rectal swab. Having one of these at home allows you to diagnose your dog and get them the care they need as quickly as possible.

Each kit contains 1 x sterile swab, 1 x buffer liquid, 1 x pipette, 1 x cassette test and instructions.

In depth instructions will be provided with your test, but as an over view here is how to use it:

1 .Gather your sample :Use the disposable swab to collect a sample either directly from the dog (rectal swab) or by swabbing a fresh sample of stool/vomit. An image will be provided on what a good sample looks like.

2. Preform the test: place swab with sample into the buffer solution and mix for 5 - 10 seconds. Open your cassette test and place on a flat surface. Add 3 drops of the solution onto the test.

3. Read your results: Give the test 10 minutes and check the results. 15 minutes after adding the sample to the test the results are void so be prompt and read your results fast.
