Description

Atlas & Tail P.E.A (Palmitoylethanolamide) Micronized Powder 40g

Atlas and Tail P.E.A is a naturally occurring compound that helps manage pain, inflammation, and stress in pets. It is particularly effective for chronic pain
and stiffness, often seen in pets with arthritis, allergies, or age-related issues.

PEA works by supporting your pet's inflammatory systems to reduce swelling and discomfort, easing pain and improving mobility. Unlike traditional pain relief methods, it helps control inflammation without interfering with the body’s normal responses, making it a safe, well-tolerated, and effective option for long-term support.

PEA is available in both a cardboard tub or a resealable pouch, so pick the one that suits you best. While our tub is environmentally friendly we know it might not suit everyone. The pouch is great for travelling or just to take up less space in your cupboard!

How Does PEA Work?

PEA helps by interacting with your pet's systems to reduce inflammation and ease pain. It activates a receptor called PPAR-α, which helps to turn off the production of substances that cause pain and swelling. At the same time, it helps to regulate the immune system, calming down any overreaction that could be causing discomfort. This means that PEA targets the source of the problem without numbing the body’s normal pain responses. Source: MDPI

Conditions PEA Helps With

  • Pain Relief:
PEA can help reduce chronic pain, such as arthritis or nerve pain, in pets. Dogs with osteoarthritis, for example, have shown less pain and better mobility after using PEA. It targets the root causes of pain and inflammation, helping your pet feel more comfortable without the sedative side effects of traditional pain medication. Source: PMC
  • Inflammation Reduction:
PEA helps reduce inflammation by controlling the production of substances that cause swelling, pain, and tissue damage. This is especially helpful for pets with joint pain, skin issues, sensitivities, or other conditions where inflammation is a problem. It works to restore balance without suppressing the immune system the way steroids or other medications can. Source: MDPI
  • Joint Health & Mobility:
For older pets or those with arthritis, PEA can improve joint health and mobility. It reduces pain and inflammation in the joints, which helps your pet move more freely. This can make a big difference in their quality of life, allowing them to stay active without needing strong painkillers. Source: PMC
  • Nerve Pain & Neurological Conditions:
PEA can also help pets with nerve pain from conditions like intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) or spinal issues. It calms inflammation in the nerves, reducing pain and improving overall nerve health. This makes PEA a helpful option for pets dealing with nerve injuries or conditions affecting the spinal cord. Source: MDPI
  • Allergy & Immune System Support: PEA helps manage allergies and immune system issues by stabilizing mast cells, which release histamine during allergic reactions. By preventing these cells from overreacting, PEA can reduce itching, swelling, and irritation from allergies, making it especially useful for pets with skin problems or seasonal allergies. Source: PMC
  • Digestive & Gut Health:
PEA may also help pets with digestive problems like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or colitis. By reducing gut inflammation, it can help with symptoms like diarrhea, stomach pain, and discomfort. Source: PMC

Why Micronized PEA is More Effective

PEA works best when it is micronized, which means it's broken down into tiny particles for better absorption. This allows your pet to get the full benefit of Atlas and Tail PEA, providing faster relief and more consistent results over time.

Comparison to Traditional Painkillers

PEA is a safe, natural alternative to traditional painkillers like NSAIDs and steroids. It doesn’t cause stomach ulcers, kidney issues, or sedation. Instead, it works with your pet’s systems to relieve pain and inflammation, making it a gentler option for long-term use. Source: DVM360

Safety & Long-Term Use

PEA has an excellent safety profile for long-term use. It’s non-toxic, non-addictive, and generally well-tolerated by pets. There are no known serious side effects, and it doesn’t require the same monitoring as other pain medications. Since PEA works naturally with your pet’s body, it provides long-term comfort without the risks of harsh medications. This means it does not damage the kidneys or liver, doesn’t cause gastrointestinal erosion, and doesn’t produce the sedation or dysphoria that opioid pain medications can cause. Source: DVM360

If you're looking for a safe, natural way to help manage pain and inflammation, improve mobility, and support your pet’s overall well-being, PEA may be the perfect solution. It offers long-term comfort for your pet, without the unwanted side effects of traditional
medications.

Feeding Guideline

Animal Weight | Daily Amt
<3kg Cat | 1/16 tsp

<10kg Dog| 1/8 tsp
10-25kg Dog | 1/4 tsp

25-45kg Dog| 1/2 tsp

My Favourite Product

I have a springer that had a cruciate repair, a lurcher with anxiety, and my working dog struggles with stiffness. They each get a scoop of PEA over the course of the day. The cruciate dog, is defining the odds of needing the second one done (touch wood), the anxious one was a habitual licker and had what started as a hot spot for 15 months, and it has now cleared and healed up, and my working dog moves notably easier since he started on it.
It's a wonder powder!!

Seems to be working!

It’s only been 4 weeks but there already seems to be an improvement in my dogs mobility. She’s only 6/7 yrs but has inflammation in her toes due to dislocating them when she was younger. She had recently stopped doing much running … she’s a sighthound and loves her zoomies! … and would hold up her paw after if she did run a little … but in the last week she’s back to mega Zoomies with no signs of pain, so I’m hopeful that it’s the PEA starting to work .

I believe this stands to greatly help my renal compromised 17 year old beloved cat. This product covers most of his needs. He is finding it pallatable mixed with omega 3 essential fatty acid in a little soup, thank you.

Seems to help with pain management and stabilisation

I've been giving this to my cavalier for over a year now. He's got chari malformation and SM and takes pain medication daily for this. I wanted to add something natural to try to help improve his quality of life as much as possible. He's been doing great since he's been on it. He's had much less flair ups and haven't had the need to increase his medication (which I've had to do previously twice).

My dog recently had surgery and was in a lot of pain & had major swelling. Started to give him some PEA and seen very noticeable changes with his stress/pain levels & sped up the process of his healing due to the anti-inflammatory properties in PEA.

Wouldnt be without it

I started using this when it first came online at Fetch for my senior dog to help with her artritis, it has been a game changer and now wouldnt be without it. Also she used to have allergies in her feet and since she has been on this it has totally cleared up. I have my Terrier on it now as she was also chewing her feet but again PEA has come to the rescue and she no longer chews her feet. I would highly recommend this product 100%

Pure PEA

I have been using the capsules and decided to try this instead. The Jury is still out whether it will last the same amount of time IE: a month as my dog would get 2 capsules a day, this one is a little more expensive but if it lasts more than a month we will keep using it.
